El Taquito Feliz was founded off a life experience, that grew in inspiration to bring love, hope and happiness to the community.
El Taquito Feliz was named after our sweet boy Dereck (4 yo.) who was diagnosed with Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma, which is a rare form of pediatric cancer. It was after seeing his strength and happiness through tough times that we were inspired seeing him smile and want a taco after harsh treatments. Dereck quickly became our Taquito Feliz (Happy Taco).
This is why El Taquito Feliz is more than just a food truck - we're an inspiration! We firmly believe that there's no such thing as an unhappy taco. We know that a taco can brighten your days, especially when the days look grey. With fresh ingredients and authentic Mexican recipes, we're coming to Mount Vernon to serve our community with love, flavor, and lots of happiness in every bite. 🌮
